Biography
Jamie Kunselman (b. 1993) has a BM in Composition and Percussion and a BME from Baldwin Wallace University. He earned his MM in Composition in 2018 from Indiana University and graduated with a DM in Composition in 2021.
His composing includes instrumental, vocal, choral, electronic, and media scoring works that have been released on Android and iOS and performed on New Music Concerts, at the Cleveland Museum of Art, the Cleveland Museum of Contemporary Art, Baldwin Wallace University, Indiana University, Cleveland State University, Colorado College, in Newport Beach, CA by Choral Arts Initiative, and in collaboration with The New Yorker and HBO Max.
Jamie is also an active performer in both percussion and voice, performing with groups including IU’s NOTUS Contemporary Vocal Ensemble, the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, the Cleveland Orchestra, the Defiance Duo with Kia Frank, EveryWhen, and various new music and percussion ensembles.
Outside of music, he has coauthored a novel, is penning a series of short stories, and enjoys extreme sports, chess, puzzles, and cats.
